MAQ-1: ERP for Fertiliser Trading Operations
Decoupled SaaS Infrastructure / Multi-Instance
// The Problem
The client managed inventory, orders, invoicing, and reconciliation across multiple spreadsheets and WhatsApp confirmations. Stock counts were only as reliable as the last person to update a sheet, and month-end reconciliation required manually cross-referencing order logs against payment records.
The client also faced data redundancy, double entries and human errors when processing their work. This leads to a significant amount of time wasted on verifying and correcting their work, resulting in productivity and efficiency loss.
// What We Built
A multi-instance ERP platform handling: ⢠Real-time inventory tracking across warehouses ⢠Inter-warehouse transfer and reconciliation, keeping stock levels accurate across locations ⢠Structured order lifecycle with automatic inventory deductions, cost traces, and client-facing PDF generation ⢠Cost traceability from origin to selling price for live margin visibility ⢠Role-based dashboards covering debtors, product sales, warehouse distribution, and rolling order summaries ⢠On-demand reports for sales, inventory levels, and client debtors ⢠Role-based access for multiple user types
// Potential Expansions
Physical inventory tracking via RFID/barcode ā Extending the current batch feature to track each individual bag through its full lifecycle, tightening inventory integrity and reducing reconciliation overhead at the warehouse level. Status: conceptual.
SQL Accounting integration ā Streamlining invoicing by syncing order data directly into the client's existing accounting software, eliminating manual re-entry between systems. Status: planned.
